Our main artist James started his career in music, then moved to field production, re-recording, and sound design (IMDb).  He began this site in order to provide high quality affordable foley in a simple and accessible format.

What is foley?  

• Foley refers to performed effects like footsteps, hand pats, cloth, and handled props.

What's not foley?  

• A car start or a rocket taking off or a C4 explosion.  These are Hard Effects.

• Birds chirping, or rain or people talking off camera.  These are Backgrounds.

• Rick Astley doing AC/DC covers from another dream dimension.  This is a Special Effect.

What's it gonna cost me?  

• $40 per film minute (minimum of $250).  If your film is one long Jackie Chan fight foley symphony then we'll give you an estimate before we start.
